The next day (Wed)...still no call. So I called and was told that the tech had an accident and they didn't know if they could get a replacement tech out. (still a 95+ degree week and tenants with no a/c). The tech finally got there on Thursday (7/7) and the a/c was back on. I did not consider this good service."

My husband died unexpectedly shortly after. When I asked the tech during fall maintenance 2020 to have my yearly bill sent to me, he told me to call the office and asked to have it billed monthly to my credit card. He told me they weren't sending out monthly bills anymore. After I did this and my a/c went out July 2021 I was told I no longer had the Platinum Plan and it had been done away with. Then I find out that Lennox coils are poorly manufactured and Lennox has known since 2010. My coil had to be replaced and I was charged $1100 for 2 hours labor. Then, the technician told me the only way I could have the Advantage plan (which is the new name for my plan) was to totally replace my 4 year old unit. I contacted the person that he gave me the contact information and never heard back. I get the feeling that this was done intentionally. My plan should have been grandfathered in and it's just poor business to do anyone this way, much less a widow who is on a fixed income. I should have the plan I signed up for at the beginning and it should be reinstated. I have every piece of correspondence and all my paper work. I was never notified that any changes were being made or given a chance to say that I wanted to continue with my original plan."

Service guys came out last Friday August 6, 2021 to service 2 of 4 units. The first downstairs unit needed Freon (they now charge $170/lb instead of $65). The second unit was the main reason for the service call, it stopped cooling altogether. Tech said it needed NEW coil & NEW compressor, Estimated REPAIR costs $8,134 (not including more Freon) They said IT WOULD BE SEPTEMBER BEFORE THE PARTS CAME IN. I told them NO THANK YOU. As an alternative fix, the RSC wrote up an offer to install 2 whole new systems for $22,000 and suggested signing up with the 10-year ADvantage Plan. I told them I would get back to them on that too. Im left with no cool air upstairs & the other 3 units downstairs are working overtime to cool the upstairs downdraft. The second unit is upstairs in a closet with a pull-down access into the ATTIC. The service tech left the pull-down ladder DOWN with the unit fan left ON and tons of hot air blowing down into the room. The service light was still on in the attic space and Insulation sprinkled down into the closet, Im too short to push the ladder back up by myself so I called the RSC because his number was on the card he left with the NEW SYSTEMS OFFER. He notified the tech who was on his way to another call. I told them to forget it & I would call my son to come close the attic access. I never got a receipt to sign and the tech simply took a photo of my credit card which was charged $340 for only the Freon. My son was furious and I feel like Ive been let down by Calverley. Breaking up is hard to do but Im done."

The guy on Saturday got everything working again and so far (Monday) it has continued to function properly. Therefore, I rated it a 6 since it's currently working but after the $ 232 capacitor was installed it went out again. BTW, I schedule an appointment between 2 to 4 Friday which turned out to be a "no show," and caused me to miss another appointment. The Saturday guy was scheduled between 10 to 12 and was early."
