What Are Common Air Conditioning Problems?
Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning is here with a few of the most usual A/C problems in Memphis.
If you can hear your air conditioning system working but there isn’t cool air coming out, you may need to have your refrigerant levels analyzed. Refrigerant is what helps make sure the air being produced by your system is actually cool. Call Service Experts and we’ll come out and examine your refrigerant levels and look into why your air conditioner is not blowing cool air.
A reason your condenser fan may not be rotating could be that it just burned out and you need to replace the fan. Humidity tends to cause more condensation so another matter to watch for is that the water is not draining correctly or that the drain is restricted. If you can verify these matters, you may be able to find the issue; if not, give Service Experts a call and we can look into what has stopped your condenser fan from rotating and go over your options to get your system up and running again.
First, try lowering your thermostat. It seems simple but sometimes we neglect the obvious. If that doesn’t get your air conditioner cooling, inspect the air filter. If the air filter is dirty, it could cause major cooling issues. Another problem that could cause your insufficient cooling is that your AC equipment is not sized properly, and unfortunately this is a common issue when homes are constructed. Service Experts will come out and conduct an analysis to determine if the size of your unit is causing your troubles.
If your system is short cycling, or turning on or off continuously, it could mean one of several things. One is that your condenser or evaporator is dirty and requires cleaning. Once the unit is cleaned and all clogs removed, you may be good to go. Remember that humidity also plays a role so if your home cools to the right temperature, but then the humidity causes your home to heat up quickly, it could result in on-again, off-again air conditioning because the system is having to work harder to keep your home comfortable.
No matter your issue, whatever air conditioning trouble you run into, Service Experts is here for you 24 hours a day so we can get your home comfortable quickly.
