Painting Vans Pink in the Fight Against Breast Cancer

September 27, 2016

Two Service Experts centers are making a statement this October with pink vans. Fras-Air/General Service Experts and Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning of Raleigh are both going to paint two of their work vans pink for the fight to end breast cancer.

Throughout the month of October, Fras-Air/General Service Experts will be giving 20% of all sales from their pink vans to the North Jersey Susan G. Komen chapter to help raise money to help cure breast cancer. Service Experts of Raleigh will be donating 5% of all sales from their pink vans plus $10 for every heating tune-up to their local chapter, Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast.

This is the second time Fras-Air/General Service Experts has painted two of their vans pink to fundraise for this great cause. In 2015, Fras-Air donated over $7,000 to Komen North Jersey. David Schneider, General Manager of Fras-Air, and one of his employees both lost their mothers to different forms of cancer and were motivated to help other families.

“The National Cancer Institute reported that 107,184 women in New Jersey had breast cancer in 2016,” Schneider explained. “While the quantity of cases is actually declining each year, that still represents a large number of families who are dealing with this disease, and that means there’s an urgent need for research and support.”

Service Experts of Raleigh’s General Manager, Chris Overton, seconded Schneider’s feelings. “As stated by the North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, breast cancer is the number one type of cancer in our state – for both females and males.”
